Day Four: Pentecost in Paris

When I arrived at my sister & brother-in-law's home it was like home.  Friends had gathered earlier for a barbecue and so I met a community.  My new niece and nephew were full of questions and happy to share with this new stranger who even more surprisingly has turned out to be a new uncle.

This morning we set off for St. Joseph's Parish in Paris near the Arc de Triomphe, an English-speaking parish led by the Passionist Fathers.  After Mass we went for a light lunch and then we climbed up the Arc de Triomphe for a good view of the city.

We came home and relaxed in the afternoon chatting on and off, getting to know one another.  It is so, mmmm, normal.  Normal is good.  For something so novel, normal is a great blessing.

Plans include going to Vimy tomorrow with a visit to Normandy including Mont St. Michel a truly miraculous place in the coming days.  Anon.
